The Open Enrollment DEADLINE for the OAR/Blue Cross group insurance plans is Wednesday, May 29th.
Please make sure your eligible associates are aware that open enrollment is their one time per year to enroll in the medical and/or dental plan, change their deductible, or add eligible dependents. Some exceptions may apply throughout the year due to qualifying events.
Beginning in 2014, the new Affordable Care Act (ACA) requires most individuals to obtain health insurance for themselves and their family members or else pay a penalty. Even though this individual mandate begins January 1, 2014, there will not be another open enrollment for this plan until next June 1, 2014.
Those currently enrolled who do not want to make any changes do not need to complete any paperwork – they will be automatically re-enrolled in their current plan.
Please send all forms (enrollments, changes, terms, etc.) to Kim by Wednesday, May 29th– they can be faxed to (918) 524-5054 or emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
